About C SHADE
C Shade Dental Laboratory is a rapidly expanding dental laboratory located in Port Macquarie, Australia. Serving local dentists as well as dentists from across the state, C Shade is known for its enthusiastic and professional approach to dental solutions.
Goals
The aim of this project was to design a homepage that:
Reflects C Shade's new image, embodying their enthusiasm and professionalism.
Provides comprehensive information about who they are, the services they offer, and how clients can get in touch.
Enhances user experience for visitors, ensuring ease of navigation and engagement.
My role
As the Designer also Web Developer for this project, my role consisting with:
Crafting all visual designs and prototypes.
Establishing a new design system for consistency.
Conducting client communication for information gathering and product photography.
Editing images for web use.
Designing and hosting the website on Framer.
Design process
My approach was thorough and user-focused.
Conducting social media research to understand C Shade's day-to-day operations and brand voice.
Utilizing Figma for layout design, Photoshop for editing product images, and Framer for final design and web hosting.
Holding regular meetings with the client to understand their client base and gather essential insights.
Challenges & solutions
Website Navigation:
To ensure the site was intuitive, I meticulously planned the site architecture to facilitate easy access to key information.
Optimizing Load Time:
I balanced the use of high-quality images with optimization techniques to ensure swift loading times without sacrificing visual appeal.
Aesthetic and Functionality:
By employing a minimalist design with strategic use of white space and responsive design principles, I crafted a site that was both beautiful and fully functional across devices.
